‘THE TRUSTS MILLION DOLLAR MISSION’

Terms and Conditions

 

By applying to “The Trusts Million Dollar Mission” initiative, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

 

 

 

1. WHO CAN APPLY?

 

1.1  Applications are open to the following groups, clubs and/or organisations within The Trusts boundaries in West Auckland and/or who predominantly affect the community of West Auckland;

·         Not-for-profit groups registered as a charitable organisation.

·         Amateur sports groups affiliated to a Sport New Zealand regional or national body.

·         Schools that can provide a letter from the principal on school letterhead endorsing the application for funding.

2. HOW TO APPLY

 

2.1  Call for applications opens on Monday, 2 October 2017 at 9.00am (NZT) and closes on Friday, 1 December 2017 at 5.00pm (NZT).

 

2.2  In order to apply, applicants must go to milliondollarmission.co.nz, check their eligibility, and complete the application form.

2.3  Applications must be completed and submitted online.

2.4  All applications received after 5.00pm (NZT) 1 December 2017 will be deemed ineligible.

 

 

 

3. SELECTION PROCESS

 

3.1  The review of all applications to check they meet the eligibility criteria will take place between Monday, 4 December 2017 at 9.00am (NZT) and Tuesday, 16 January 2018 at 11.59pm (NZT).

 

3.2  The Selection Panel will consist of a selection of Elected Members from Portage and Waitakere Licensing Trusts (collectively known as The Trusts) and independent people The Trusts may appoint.

 

3.3  The Trusts reserves the right to:

  • request further information to verify an applicant's eligibility in the event,
  • disqualify any applicant who tampers with the application and/or voting process or who submits false or misleading information as part of its application,
  • withdraw selection prior to payment if the applicant's eligibility for The Trusts Million Dollar Mission is in doubt or if the applicant is conducting itself in a manner which is inconsistent with the intent of The Trusts Million Dollar Mission.
  • The Trusts can withdraw or refuse selection where eligibility is not proved by the applicant.

 

3.4  The Selection Panel will select the applications to advance to the voting stage “The Approved Applicants”.

 

3.5  The Selection Panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the final selection of Approved Applicants.

 

3.6  Finalists will be determined by factors such as the number of West Aucklanders the application will affect, and the applications impact for the betterment of the West Auckland community, and any other factor relevant to determining deserving applications in the opinion of the Selection Panel.

 

3.6  The Approved Applicants will be notified by email and detailed on milliondollarmission.co.nz.

 

3.7  The Trusts reserve the right to disqualify and cease funding to any Approved Applicant who, in the Trusts opinion, brings themselves or, by association, the Trusts, into disrepute.

 

 

4. VOTING

 

4.1  Public voting commences on Thursday, 1 March 2017 at 10.00am (NZT) and will close when the million dollars has been allocated, or by Monday, 30 April, 5.00pm (NZT).

 

4.2  Votes can be made at milliondollarmission.co.nz

 

4.3  Each unique email address can cast one vote per day, throughout the official voting period.

 

4.4  The time of entry will be the time at which the completed online entry form is received by the online database. Entries received outside of the specified voting period will be deemed invalid.

4.5  Entry details become and remain the property of The Trusts.

 

4.6 The Trusts reserve the right in their sole discretion to reject bulk entries which they

consider to have been created using software to generate multiple entries.

 

 

 

 

5. FUNDING ALLOCATION

 

5.1  Subject to the maximum funding set out in clause 5.2 below, each Approved Applicant will receive a proportion of $1,000,000 based on the number of votes received for the Approved Applicant.

5.2  The maximum amount any Approved Applicant  will receive will be limited to the maximum amount of funding sought in their application.

 

5.3  Following the voting period closing on Monday, 30 April, The Trusts will present a cheque to each Approved Applicant who has received valid votes.

5.4  These cheques will be presented by The Trusts by 30 June 2018.

 

6. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

6.1  As a condition of acceptance of funding, recipients agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Million Dollar Mission, including but not limited to photographs and other material. Each recipient of funding agrees to grant The Trusts a perpetual royalty free and non-exclusive licence (including the right to sub-licence) to use their name and/or organisation or group and such footage, photographs and other material in all media worldwide and the recipients will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

 

6.2  The recipients of funding agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation without The Trusts approval of content prior to release.
